Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave both celebrate their birthdays within a day of each other this month. The old master and the young pretender also both release new albums to add to their great catalogue of songs.
To celebrate this, members of The Annulments, Twin Headed Wolf, Vameel and Thumper, amongst others will play some of their favourite songs from these two masters of song.
Other guest musicians include Éna Brennan, Leigh Duncan, Aisling Rowe, Gareth Quinn Redmond and (for one night only) Hugo Newman.
The concert will be a fully acoustic affair in lovely surroundings of The Back Loft. Tickets are €10 and will be available on the door or alternatively here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cohen-cave-birthday-tribute-tickets-28117169210
A special Good Name this week. Solo performances from Dowry (Éna Brennan), Caoilian Sherlock & Dave Tapley - plus a panel discussion from Free The Nipple campaigners, who have provoked important debate among the Irish public this summer regarding Ireland's attitude to gender equality.
Dowry & Caoilian Sherlock have recently set out on solo projects and are partnering up to do a few shows towards the end of the summer. Come grab a coffee and hear some of their new material in the lovely surroundings of the Thirty Four cafe at 2pm on Saturday August 13th.

Sold-out performance of interpretations by leading Irish artists (Mary Coughlan, Cathy Davey, Jennifer Evans, Lost Brothers and Bronagh Gallagher) of Carole King’s Tapestry. String Arrangements and performance of a selection of songs by Éna Brennan.
