  • The Chocolate Factory 26 King's Inns Street Dublin, Dublin Ireland (map)

Premiere of rupture II, written for mezzo-soprano and baritone.

rupture was inspired by the organic wall of sound & disruptions in thunder/storms and how the sound versus visual delay plays with our perception of time and distance. with the voice as the timbral centre I've brought these qualities into a more intimate place, where the singers are asked to sing facing each other in pairs.

can you see me fall apart"

Commission for Tonnta Vocal Ensemble

"As Ireland reflects on a historic 100-year milestone, we take a glimpse at what the next century might hold for Irish composition.

Future Composers brings together three of Ireland’s most innovative new music ensembles – the Dublin Laptop OrchestraKirkos Ensemble, and Tonnta Music – to perform works by emerging Irish composers for electronics, acoustic instruments, and voices respectively, and culminates in all three groups joining forces to perform the world premiere of 'Oblique', a new large scale work by award winning composer Linda Buckley, specially commissioned for the event.

Presented by Ensemble Music, who along with the performing groups strive to present classical music in non-traditional settings, Future Composers explores the full sonic range of new Irish composition in a unique, immersive surrounding. "

Presented by Ensemble Music and St. Patrick's Festival Ireland, as part of I Love My City.
